My workshop enables me to carry out any restoration project whatsoever, from minor repairs and scratches to complete deconstruction, repair and re-assembly of your antique clockcase, barometer or piece of furniture.
I only provide the best possible service and attention to detail for your restoration project and treat every piece wholly sympathetically and with an informed manner. My extensive skills and experience ensure your precious antique is in very trust worthy hands.
Maintaining the original surface, colour and patina of a clock case, barometer or piece of furniture are of upmost importance and where sections need replacing due to damage or are missing altogether they will be replaced with old surface pieces of period timber or veneer.
I aim to produce a repair, using like for like timber, that even an expert would have difficulty identifying.
I pay full attention to the importance of conservation and will guide and advise on how to best restore your antique furniture item. I can demonstrate how conservation blends with the restoration required to make your damaged item both useable and beautiful.
The types of clock cases that I work on include Longcase clocks, Bracket clocks, Wall clocks and also barometer cases. So whether its just a simple clean and wax or a complete overhaul that is required it will be carried out to the highest standards in the agreed time scale and price range.
I also restore all types of antique furniture from the 17th to 19th century including William and Mary, Queen Anne, Georgian, Regency, Victorian.
