Antique London Flame Veneered Mahogany Restoration Project

Restoration of a London flame veneered mahogany case with a double break arch top and and bridge top trunk door.

Before

After

Here is a good example of a London flame veneered mahogany case with a double break arch top and and bridge top trunk door. It's had a hard life and had been stored in a very damp outbuilding and various parts like the double plinth on the base had been lost and needed remaking in period mahogany.

Also the fretwork panels above the hood door had disintegrated and had to be remade. The whole case was then repolished and waxed to bring it back to its former glory.
